We’ve had to work tirelessly to keep up with the pace, but the dedication of the KC team never falters. Every staff member is passionate about their craft, and each plays a key role in ensuring that KC Design House remains synonymous with quality and creativity. From the workshop team who handcraft our unique kitchens and furniture to those who install and project manage to uphold our high standards and the designers who use their innovation and flair to push boundaries.
This year, we’re thrilled to have worked on so many inspiring projects, bringing our handcrafted kitchens and bespoke furniture to a diverse portfolio of properties nationwide. The challenge of overcoming interior hurdles and translating unique visions into tangible, breathtaking designs is what makes our team tick. Regardless of the scale of the project and whether our client is a homeowner, architect or developer, our commitment to delivering flawless customer service and design expertise is steadfast.
Further defining our brand is our interior design-led and collaborative work approach. We gain immense satisfaction from thinking outside the box and consistently looking at spaces from unique perspectives. This approach allows us to bring innovative ideas to the table, ideas that others may not have even envisioned. Of equal importance is co-creating the space with the client to ensure it suits their home, interior preferences and lifestyle, fulfilling its intended purpose. Our decision to run our Design House premises by appointment only has proven to be a pivotal move for both KC and our clients. This approach ensures that every visitor receives the undivided attention they deserve and allows our team to fully immerse themselves in the intricacies of each project. The result is an elevated level of engagement that goes beyond expectations and forges lasting connections.
Reflecting on the past year, we’re particularly proud of three notable highlights. First, being shortlisted for 'Showroom of the Year' in the prestigious kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023. A true labour of love, the iconic KC Design House building was designed by our founder and managing director, Richard Jewkes. Keen to give it “tremendous kerb appeal”, he drew inspiration from German architecture to create its unique glass, timber and steel structure, which has since become something of a local landmark. Though we didn’t quite take the top spot, we were beyond delighted to have been shortlisted for such a significant industry accolade.
Second, is our presence at the Homebuilding and Renovation Show in November, held at the Harrogate Convention Centre. Joining more than 240 self-build specialists and renovation experts, we showcased a thoughtfully designed full kitchen installation, captivating audiences with its unique beauty and fine functionality. As with all our kitchens, the room set was designed with lifestyle and practicality in mind, featuring zones for cooking, dining and entertaining, including a large island with an integrated table and a signature KC cocktail bar.
Lastly, we’re thrilled to announce the Harrogate show roomset showcased a new KC Exclusive kitchen design that will join our showroom display areas in the first quarter of the new year. This timeless, flat timber door design with a paint finish reflects our dedication to luxury kitchen design and promises to be a standout addition to our portfolio.
